The new year brings renewed focus on recovery efforts, including more staff to support western North Carolina communities. Last week, the Governor’s Recovery Office for Western North Carolina (GROW NC) announced the addition of four regional recovery coordinators, who will help increase support for residents, local governments, community organizations, and businesses impacted by Hurricane Helene. Each recovery coordinator brings disaster recovery expertise as well as deep ties to the region.
